Changing/getting a new tire for my car?

I own a Honda Civic '96 EX. Walked outside today and found my rear left flat. My dad used to help me get a new tire when something was wrong, but he's no longer around. I know how to change a tire, so I just need to get a new one mounted on my rim. What should I do? Should I put the donut on and take the flat tire with rim to the store? Will a place like Kragen be able to mount and balance it without my car being there? I'm currently out of work so I'm trying to save some cash by doing some of the work myself. You guys have any suggestions?Changing/getting a new tire for my car?yes you can drive with your spare on the car ive never heard of a shop charging to put the tire on the car. but take that loose tire in to make sure it can be repaired before you spend money on a new tireChanging/getting a new tire for my car?hey you gotta go to a tire store/ wallmart, sears pepboysetc.on the plus, if you air it up, you can plug it ,nevermind, go have it patched.Changing/getting a new tire for my car?type into search box

any tire shop can replace a tire if you goit a spare put it on find a used tire 25 bucks or less maybe

hard to break a tire down without tools to do it is what i do road side service a tire shop would be smarterChanging/getting a new tire for my car?A lot depends on, why the tire is leaking air.

If it's a puncture (from say picking up a nail in the tread) it can be plugged for little money. If the puncture is too close to the edge, you have to replace the tire.

If it leaks air from around the seal at the rim, then it's got to be dismounted and repaired.

If it leaks because of a loose valve stem, you have to get it replaced.

If it was low on air for a long time and you drove it around like that, you may have to replace the tire anyway because the tire is wore out and safety is an issue.

If it leaks because someone slashed the sidewall or a blowout to the sidewall then, you have to replace the tire. You can't repair this.

The cheapest way to fix it is to change for the donut and take to a place that deals in used tires. Sometime you can find a good used tire at a junk yard also (if you got some time to look around)
