My tire on my car rattles?

Out of nowhere today my tire what rattling..or making a clanking sound when moving. I believe that something is inside the metal part of the wheel but how would something just get in there and what could it be?

Also...someone was trying to change my tire yesterday and couldnt get it off and was kicking it and hitting it with a hammer to try to loosen it up...if that helps for getting an answer.

But i need to know how to get this fixed in an in-expensive way so i can drive and not make noisesMy tire on my car rattles?Go somewhere and have it looked at. And DON'T let that moron try to change your tire again!!

If you have a Big O tire center where you live, they will sometimes fix it for free. If not free, then it will be about $10.

I don't think your car is capable of hating you...My tire on my car rattles?you didn't say what type of car it is to know what type of rim or wheel covers you have. The big concern here is did he loosen one or more of your lugnuts and didn't tight them back. So get it checked out right away.My tire on my car rattles?doesn't sound good to me

wheels have bearings inside and they need to work or you crash

also wheels are held on by things called lug nuts and they can be loose and make the wheel wobble and clunk

changing a tire should not need hitting and kicking it

nuts are loosened and taken off and the wheel and tire come off togetherMy tire on my car rattles?Which metal part of the wheel? If it is under the hub cap, if you have them, then yes, a loose lug nut could be the culprit. If not, it could be your brake calipers that have come loose and rattling against the rotors, or a host of other things that would need to be checked. You might check for any loose parts on the back side of the wheel for those things. My tire on my car rattles? As for removing the tire, get a pipe that fits over the wrench and use that as an extension (to get better leverage). Don't bother with hammer, etc.

As to rattling, put the car on a lift (jack stands), and rotate them by hand try to pin point the noise. Sometime it could be something as simple as a pebble stuck inside the hub cap (or some thing inside).

But if you are not familiar with cars to remove the tires, you won't be able to fix most rattling yourself. Get a good mechanics (get friend's recommendation).

Good Luck...My tire on my car rattles?you might need them balanced or alienedMy tire on my car rattles?More than likely %26gt;Gravel picked up on the Highway-City-Street,etc. Ask a friend to remove the Hub-Cap you think is making the noise! And keep the Nut with the Hammer away from your Car! lol Good-Luck,and Happy-Mortoring!
